Hoel Gård is proud to be a certified Eco-Lighthouse, which means that we actively work to meet strict environmental standards in areas such as energy, waste, transport and purchasing. The Eco-Lighthouse certification requires continuous improvement, and we take responsibility for reducing our ecological footprint through measures such as energy efficiency, waste reduction and environmentally friendly purchasing.

At Hoel Gård, we care for the nature that surrounds us, and as part of our environmental work, we operate 1,500 acres of cultivated land with respect for nature’s carrying capacity. This means that we use gentle agricultural methods that help preserve soil quality, reduce the use of pesticides and minimize runoff to Lake Mjøsa. We are committed to balancing high productivity with consideration for the environment, and our goal is always to contribute to a healthy and sustainable future.

Through the Eco-Lighthouse certification and our continuous focus on sustainable solutions, we want to create a better world – for ourselves, our guests and future generations.
